My Apprenticeship at Warner Bros.
My role is the International Supply Chain Finance Apprentice and I’m completing a Level 3 AAT qualification.
Before starting this apprenticeship, I was studying at university working towards a Development Economics degree but I wasn’t enjoying my time there as I felt the way my classes/course were being taught didn’t work for me. A family member had just recently completed an apprenticeship, and I came to realise that the learning style and structure of an apprenticeship would be better suited for me. I wanted to gain experience in a formal working environment as I felt it would be invaluable for my future.
What do you enjoy most about your apprenticeship?
I am enjoying the fact that what I am learning for my AAT qualification is applicable in my day-to-day role at Warner Bros. which helps me understand my role and be a more productive member of my team.
What has been your highlight so far?
The highlight so far of working at Warner Bros. has been working with my team. I have had an excellent time working with them all. They have made me feel welcome and at ease and have helped me at every turn since the start.
What advice would you give to people thinking of doing an apprenticeship?
I would advise that you should pick a company that you have some knowledge or interest in, not just for the course or qualification. I have always been a keen viewer of Warner Bros. films and because of that, I have found that I take more pride in what I do and want to achieve more in the workplace. This has made my overall experience of my apprenticeship all the more enjoyable.
